We are seeking a Mandarin-speaking Nurse for Community/Home Visit to join EICARE Home Care Service Provider. This is a casual position based in Clayton, VIC 3168, offering flexible opportunities to provide nursing care to our diverse community. In this role, you will deliver high-quality aged care and health services directly to clients within their homes, whilst supporting our mission to provide culturally responsive and compassionate care. Your fluency in Mandarin will be invaluable in communicating with our Mandarin-speaking clients, ensuring they receive personalised care and feel heard throughout their healthcare journey.
Key responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to aged care clients in their homes, including wound care, medication management, catheter care and health monitoring
- Conduct comprehensive health assessments and develop individualised care plans in consultation with clients and healthcare teams
- Communicate effectively with Mandarin-speaking clients to understand their health needs, preferences and concerns
- Perform vital sign monitoring and report any changes in client condition to relevant healthcare professionals
- Maintain accurate and timely nursing documentation and client health records
- Support clients with activities of daily living and provide person-centred aged care
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure coordinated, holistic care delivery
- Identify and respond to safeguarding concerns in accordance with organisational policies and relevant legislation
- Promote client independence, dignity and wellbeing at all times
- Adhere to infection control and health and safety protocols within home environments
What we're looking for
- Current registration with the Nursing as a Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse
- Fluency in Mandarin Chinese (both written and spoken) to communicate confidently with clients
- Minimum 2 years' experience working in aged care,
community care or home visiting nursing roles
- Strong knowledge of aged care principles, person-centred care delivery and dementia care awareness
- Excellent clinical assessment and decision-making skills
- Ability to work independently within home environments whilst maintaining qualified standards
- Valid driving licence and reliable access to transport
- Current Working with Children Check (WWCC) or willingness to obtain one
- Immunisation requirements in accordance with aged care sector standards
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and cultural competency skills
- Flexibility to work casual hours and adapt to varied home care schedules
- Current first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and privacy standards
