The Team

Ward 3R is an acute rehabilitation unit offering inpatient rehabilitation services to Northern Tasmania. We have a strong multidisciplinary focus and utilise a goal directed patient-centred approach to care in order to achieve the best outcomes for our patients. Nursing care is provided by a team of Registered and Enrolled Nurses, along with the support of ANUMs and the NUM. Our nursing team is supported by a robust interdisciplinary team, informed by clinicians with Rehabilitation expertise.

The Role

The Enrolled Nurse in acute rehabilitation is responsible for supporting patients to achieve their goals by providing secure, high quality, clinically appropriate nursing care in partnership with the multidisciplinary team, patients, and their families.

- A sound understanding of rehabilitation nursing and how the nursing role fits within the multidisciplinary team
- A demonstrated ability to undertake patient/client education in the practice setting, along with a commitment to participate in ongoing professional development; and
- The ability to communicate and interact effectively with patients. families, and other members of the team in order to achieve positive outcomes for patients.

Details of appointment

Two (2) permanent part time, shift worker (fully rotational) positions, working up to 24 hours per fortnight each, as soon as we can onboard you.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary

$73,109 to $80,524 pro rata per annum.



Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

- Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.

Access to the Grade 4 salary range $102,439- $109,175 is subject to successful application for progression to Grade 4

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:

- Post Graduate Allowance of up to 7.5% based on qualification type

Eligibility

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria.

- Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as an Enrolled Nurse (holds a Board-approved qualification in administration of medicines).
