Expressions of Interest are invited from Palliative Care Registrars for two 6‑month fixed‑term full‑time positions at Bunbury Regional Hospital, South West of Western Australia. One role commences on 1 February 2027 and the second on 2 August 2027, with potential extensions.
Location
Bunbury Regional Hospital, Bunbury, South West Western Australia.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide inpatient palliative care consultations across emergency, general medical, surgical and rehabilitation wards.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team including registrar and clinical nurse consultant.
- Participate in research, education, teaching, supervision and training of peers and junior staff.
- Coordinate services and plan ongoing care for patients across hospital and community settings.
Essential Qualifications and Criteria
- General Registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
- PGY5 level or higher; at least six months experience working in Australia or a Competent Authority country.
- Ability to provide teaching, supervision and training support.
- Demonstrated well‑developed communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to teaching, supervision and training of peers and colleagues.
- Commitment to clinical governance within healthcare.
- Understanding of Aboriginal Cultural Respect Framework.
