A Country Garden Early Childhood Centres – Toowoomba QLD
We are seeking an experienced Early Childhood Cook to join our team at A Country Garden Early Childhood Centres' in Toowoomba, QLD.
As a part-time Early Childhood Cook, you will be responsible for preparing healthy, nutritious meals and snacks for the children in our care, while adhering to all food safety and dietary requirements.
What you'll be doing
Plan, prepare and serve wholesome, age-appropriate meals and snacks that meet the nutritional needs of the children
Ensure all food preparation, storage and serving practices comply with food safety regulations and centre policies
Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment
Collaborate with the Centre Director and educators to accommodate special dietary requirements
Participate in professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date with best practices in early childhood nutrition
Drive centre courtesy bus (Minibus - standard car licence only required) for before school care drop offs to nearby schools.
Induction and training provided.
What we're looking for
Minimum 2 years experience as a cook in an early childhood or similar catering setting
Candidates with any food service experience will be considered for this position




Knowledge of food safety, nutrition and healthy eating for young children
Ability to work collaboratively with a team and communicate effectively with children and families
Excellent organisational and time management skills
Current Food Safety Supervisor certification or willingness to obtain
Applicants may have current Food Safety Supervisor certification or be willing to obtain it upon employment
Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
