Our central location allows us to deliver fast, reliable gearbox repairs with minimal downtime for our clients.We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanical Fitter to join our team.
This is a outstanding opportunity for individuals with strong mechanical aptitude and a passion for precision engineering.Mechanical Fitter – Geared EngineeringLocation: Beresfield, NSWKey Responsibilities:Collaborate effectively within a team environmentComplete assigned tasks efficiently, safely, and on scheduleEnsure all work meets quality and specification standards, with timely completion of required documentationPerform general fitting, overhaul, and repair of Gear Reduction Units, Fluid Couplings, and Power Transmission DevicesMaintain and correctly operate workshop equipmentAccurately measure and sketch mechanical componentsAdhere to all company procedures and safety standardsCarry out mechanical repairs and component manufacturing as directedApply precise fitting techniques for bearings, gears, seals, etc., using heating/freezing and other methodsSupport team development,



including training apprentices and assisting colleaguesInspect and document mechanical conditions before and after refurbishment, identifying wear, damage, or potential issues in components like gears, shafts, and housingsIdeal Candidate Will Have:Strong verbal and written communication skills, including with management and technical staffProven ability to meet deadlines while managing competing prioritiesEffective goal setting and performance management aligned with company standardsStrong team orientation with the ability to build and maintain positive internal and external relationshipsCapacity to work independently and manage workload without supervisionExcellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities, with the initiative to develop alternative solutionsBasic computer literacyProficiency in hazard identification and a proactive approach to workplace safetyWhat We Offer:Competitive rates of paySupportive work environment with training and development opportunitiesThe chance to work with a highly experienced team on diverse and challenging projectsPlease note: All applicants will be required to undergo a medical assessment and background check as part of the recruitment process.
