Credit Analyst & Settlements Officer - Mortgages (Private Credit) We are seeking a talented Credit Analyst & Settlements Officer - Mortgages (Private Credit) to join FutureCap in Burleigh Heads, Queensland.
This is a full-time position that combines credit analysis expertise with settlements administration within our private credit mortgage division.
You will play a crucial role in supporting our lending operations, ensuring compliance with credit policies, and managing the settlement process for mortgage transactions.
This position is integral to maintaining the quality and efficiency of our mortgage portfolio.
Key responsibilities Conducting comprehensive credit analysis on mortgage applications, including assessing borrower creditworthiness, property valuations, and loan-to-value ratios Preparing detailed credit assessment reports with clear recommendations for loan approval, decline or conditional approval Reviewing and analysing financial statements, tax returns, bank statements and other supporting documentation provided by applicants Coordinating with valuation firms and ensuring property valuations meet lending requirements Managing the mortgage settlements process, including liaising with legal representatives, financial institutions and borrowers Preparing settlement documentation and ensuring all regulatory and compliance requirements are met prior to settlement Monitoring loan conditions and ensuring all pre-settlement requirements are satisfied Maintaining accurate records and documentation in accordance with lending and compliance standards Identifying and escalating credit risks and exceptions to senior management Supporting the credit team with portfolio analysis and performance reporting What we're looking for 3-5 years' experience in credit analysis, mortgage lending or financial services, preferably in a private credit or non-bank lending setting Strong understanding of credit principles,



lending policies and risk assessment methodologies Proven experience in mortgage settlements and conveyancing processes Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail Proficiency in financial analysis, including the ability to interpret financial statements and cash flow projections Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements in Australian mortgage lending Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders Proficiency with credit management systems and Microsoft Office applications Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Tertiary qualification in Finance, Commerce, Business or related discipline is advantageous What we offer FutureCap is committed to fostering a supportive and collaborative workplace where our team members can thrive.
