About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Primary School Teacher to join our supportive, collaborative team.
This is an exciting opportunity for an energetic, open-minded educator to deliver engaging lessons, embrace innovative pedagogy, and differentiate the curriculum to meet diverse student learning needs.
This is a one-year, full-time parental leave cover position starting September ****, with potential for extension.
Key Responsibilities
Perform conscientiously and competently the duties, both teaching and non-teaching, as assigned by the Head of Primary or the School Leadership Team.
Perform such duties as are customarily rostered and shared by all staff, and such other duties as may be agreed upon by the Head of Primary or the School Leadership Team and teacher.
Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons aligned with the NSW Curriculum that spark excitement.
Demonstrate deep knowledge of the NSW K-6 Science and Technology syllabus through effective programming, evidence-based pedagogies, diagnostic assessment, and the meaningful integration of ICT and digital technologies to support diverse learners.
Differentiate teaching and instruction to support diverse learners and maximise individual student growth.
Implement effective classroom management to cultivate a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment.
Demonstrate robust classroom practice, including structured planning, assessment, and student feedback.
Collaborate with colleagues across the College to develop and refine teaching resources and strategies.
Participate in professional development opportunities and commit to reflective practice.
Contribute to the broader life of the school community through extracurricular activities and events.
About You
You will demonstrate:
Proven experience teaching science to primary school students.
A strong commitment to student learning outcomes and the ability to build positive, respectful relationships.
Excellent collaboration, communication, and team-working skills.
An open-minded, energetic approach with a willingness to try innovative teaching methodologies.
Enthusiasm for ongoing skilled growth and continual professional development.
Proficiency in using educational technology (advantageous).
Adherence to the College's Child Protection Policy and Code of Conduct always.
A willingness to support the Jewish and religious ethos of the College.
Eligibility to teach in NSW and a current NESA accreditation.
