AO5 Graphic Designer (Customer & Stakeholder Management)Public Sector People are partnering with a Queensland Government department to recruit an experiencedAO5 Graphic Designer for a 12-month temporary contract with the possibility of extension.
Based in eitherCairns or Townsville, this role sits within a stakeholder and community engagement team and will play a key role in delivering high-quality visual communications that support regional initiatives, public engagement activities and organisational objectives.This is an excellent chance for an experienced design professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys creating engaging content across print, digital, social media and video platforms.Key responsibilities include:Developing creative design solutions that support stakeholder engagement, community awareness and organisational prioritiesDesigning and producing a range of communication materials including brochures, publications, newsletters, presentations, displays, maps and advertising contentCreating content across digital, social media, print and video channelsProviding expert graphic design and visual communication advice to internal stakeholders and leadership teamsTranslating complex information into clear, engaging and accessible visual communicationsEnsuring all materials align with corporate branding, accessibility standards and government communication requirementsManaging multiple projects and competing priorities to deliver outputs within tight deadlinesLiaising with external suppliers including printers,



photographers, videographers and creative agenciesCollaborating with communication and stakeholder engagement teams to support strategic projects and campaignsContributing to continuous improvement of design processes, standards and visual communication practicesAbout you:Demonstrated experience in graphic design, visual communications or creative services rolesAdvanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite including Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop and Premiere ProExperience creating high-quality content across print, digital and multimedia platformsStrong understanding of branding, visual storytelling and design best practiceAbility to manage multiple projects and work effectively in a high-volume environmentExcellent stakeholder engagement and communication skillsExperience working within corporate or government brand guidelinesKnowledge of accessibility requirements and creating accessible documents is highly regardedTertiary qualifications in Graphic Design, Visual Communication or a related discipline are desirablePrevious Queensland Government or public sector experience will be highly regardedBenefits:AO5-level contract opportunity with competitive hourly rate + Super12-month temporary contract with potential extensionOpportunity to work on meaningful community and stakeholder engagement initiativesExposure to large-scale government projects and communications activitiesSupportive and collaborative team environmentCairns or Townsville office location
