To find out more visit our website atWe are seeking an experienced Emergency Services Team Leader to lead a site-based Emergency Response Team within a dynamic resource environment.In this hands-on leadership role, you will oversee emergency response readiness, lead incident response operations, and develop a high-performing Emergency Services team.
You will work closely with site stakeholders to ensure compliance, operational readiness, and continuous improvement across all emergency response systems, equipment, and personnel.Key ResponsibilitiesLead Emergency Response Team during incidents, providing command, control, and coordination of emergency and rescue operationsAct as emergency first response during all call outs and ensure protected, effective incident managementCoordinate site rescue functions, including First Response Team command and return-to-operations supportDeliver rescue operations including confined space, working at heights, and high-risk task standby supportMentor and develop Emergency Services Officers to maintain a capable, risk-based response teamOversee emergency response systems, ensuring readiness, continuous improvement, and compliance with site and legislative requirementsSupport site HSE activities including risk assessments, inspections, hazard reviews, PTOs, and layered auditsEnsure compliance with HSE policies, PPE requirements, reporting obligations,



and risk management processesCollaborate with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure legislative, contractual, and site complianceSupport emergency response planning for high-risk work activities and contribute to site integration and continuous improvement initiativesDrive a strong safety culture and continuous improvementAbout YouYou are an experienced emergency response professional with strong leadership capability and a background in mine rescue, ERT, or heavy industry emergency services.Essential RequirementsCertificate III in Emergency Response and Rescue OR Certificate II in Public Safety (Firefighting and Emergency Operations) or higherExperience in Emergency Services, ERT, or Mine Rescue within mining or heavy industryPrevious supervisory or leadership experience in emergency response operationsCurrent First Aid (HLTAID011) and CPR (HLTAID009)Provide advanced first aid (HLTAID014)Provide Advanced Resuscitation and oxygen therapy (HLTAID015)Provide Pain Management (PUAEME005)Collect specimens for drugs of abuse testing (HLTPAT005)Confined Space Rescue and Working at Heights Rescue qualifications (completed within last 3yrs)MR Licence or aboveStrong knowledge of emergency response, rescue procedures, and incident managementExperience delivering training, drills, and emergency preparedness activitiesAbility to pass pre-employment medical, Order 43 (or equivalent), drug & alcohol screening, and ongoing fitness for work requirementsFull Australian working rightsMSS Security is an Equal Opportunity Employer, valuing the unique backgrounds, experiences, and contributions of each person We encourage and celebrate diversity.
