Provides leadership and coordination of nursing projects, programs and-or research activities designed to improve standards of patient care.
Works in partnership with other health professionals and resource personnel to improve and coordinate the use of information systems that improve standards of patient care through more effective utilisation of resources including physical resources.
The Team The Office of the Executive Director of Nursing and Midwifery (EDONM) is responsible for regional strategic priorities and projects for North West Hospitals and Primary Health Services.
This includes workforce planning, centralised recruitment support, pathways to excellence and general project support.
The Role Works in North West facilities settings to improve health care services through use of health management information systems to enhance clinical practices in nursing and midwifery.
Provides leadership and coordination of nursing and midwifery projects, with the specific challenge and strategic direction of assisting in the establishment of the Recruitment Co-Operative for Nursing and Midwifery recruitment within Hospitals North West.
Support and assist in the development of the single recruitment pipeline through targeted priority recruitment, support frontline managers to fill all vacancies through adaptive strategies and business cases,



and marketing materials that target Nursing and Midwifery.
Additional projects as prioritised through the strategic planning framework of the EDONM.
You will need Strong nursing-midwifery leadership expertise with contemporary knowledge of nursing and midwifery practice, workforce planning, service improvement, and quality healthcare delivery.
Proven project management and analytical capability, including experience in research methodologies, strategic planning, problem-solving, and leading complex initiatives to achieve organisational outcomes.
Exceptional stakeholder engagement, with the ability to communicate complex information clearly, collaborate and negotiate effectively, understand relevant health policy and legislation, to improve and develop the nursing and midwifery workforce.

Details of appointment Fixed term full time, day worker position working 38 hours per fortnight, for 12 months.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary $118,297 to $125,543 Pro rata per annum.
Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement ****.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available: Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type Salary Packaging
