Job DescriptionThis role is responsible for enhancing and productionising the existing Insurance Capital Standards (ICS) calculation models to align with TAL modelling standards, governance requirements, and audit expectations.
The position focuses on strengthening controls, validations, and review processes across the ICS reporting framework, while improving analytical capabilities and process efficiency.
The role will drive model enhancements, uplift reporting controls and checks, and optimise the end-to-end capital reporting process to ensure accurate, timely, and reliable delivery of monthly reporting obligations.In this role you will:Enhance and productionise Insurance Capital Standards (ICS) calculation models to improve robustness, scalability, and alignment with TAL modelling standards.Review, design, and implement effective controls, reconciliations, and validation checks across the ICS reporting process to strengthen governance and minimise operational risk.Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline capital reporting processes, reduce manual intervention, and improve reporting efficiency.Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for models, methodologies, controls, and reporting processes.Support the implementation of model enhancements, testing, and validation activities, ensuring changes are appropriately governed and controlled.Support external audit reviews by providing evidence, documentation, and explanations relating to the ICS calculation and reporting framework.Qualifications5+ years' experience in a life insurance (or equivalent) actuarial role.FIAA qualified (or equivalent)Solid analytical skills and financial modelling capabilities.Knowledge of the Australian life insurance market – products, industry structure and trends, drivers and profitability,
