Support the growth of premium global design brands.Nine United Australia represents globally recognised Danish furniture brands HAY, &Tradition; and VERPAN, supplying premium design furniture to leading retailers and design professionals across Australia.After more than 20 years operating through a distribution partner, Nine United has established a direct Australian presence and is building a capable local team to support its continued growth.We are now seeking an experienced Supply Chain & Logistics Manager to oversee international imports, inventory, warehousing and distribution across the Australian business.Based at the Manly showroom, you will initially spend approximately two to three days per week at Nine United's 3PL warehouse in Granville.
Your focus will be on monitoring order fulfilment and inventory performance, resolving operational issues and working with the provider to improve service levels.
This is an operational management role rather than a hands‐on warehouse position.What the role looks like:Manage international purchasing, production schedules and supplier lead timesBuild and maintain strong relationships with suppliers in Denmark and ChinaCoordinate international shipping, freight forwarding and customs clearanceEnsure compliance with Australian import regulations, duties and taxesMonitor inventory levels and implement effective replenishment strategiesOversee 3PL performance across receiving, storage, picking, packing and dispatchInvestigate delayed orders, stock discrepancies and recurring service issuesWork with the 3PL provider to improve efficiency, accuracy and accountabilityOptimise freight, warehousing and last-mile delivery costsMaintain accurate information within ERP and inventory management systemsTrack supply chain costs and identify opportunities for improvementSupport budgeting, forecasting, supplier payments and management reportingYou will work closely with the Australian sales,



customer service, operations and finance teams, as well as international suppliers and logistics partners.What we're looking for:At least three years' experience in supply chain, logistics or import operationsExperience managing international freight, customs and import requirementsMandarin or Cantonese language skills would be highly regarded due to the role's regular engagement with suppliers and partners in China.Solid experience working with 3PL providers and warehouse operationsKnowledge of inventory control, replenishment and order fulfilmentConfidence using ERP or inventory management systemsStrong stakeholder management and supplier negotiation skillsCommercial awareness and experience managing freight and operational costsStrong analytical, planning and problem‐solving capabilitiesConfidence identifying issues, managing provider performance and driving improvementsA relevant qualification in supply chain, logistics, business or a related fieldExperience within furniture, retail, wholesale or an importing business would be highly regarded.
