We are seeking a talented Designer and Estimator to join the team at Genneral Staircase.
This is a full-time position based in our Wetherill Park, NSW office.
In this role, you will play a crucial part in translating client visions into practical, beautiful staircase designs whilst providing accurate cost estimations for projects.
You will work at the intersection of creativity and precision, ensuring that every design is not only aesthetically pleasing but also commercially viable and technically sound.What you'll be doingCreate detailed and innovative staircase designs tailored to client specifications and site requirementsProduce technical drawings and 3D visualisations to present design concepts to clients and internal teamsConduct site assessments and measurements to inform design decisions and ensure feasibilityDevelop accurate cost estimates and quotations based on materials, labour, and project scopeLiaise with clients to understand their requirements, preferences and budget constraintsCollaborate with production and installation teams to ensure designs are practical and efficiently manufacturedStay updated with industry trends, materials and building codes relevant to staircase designReview and refine designs based on client feedback and technical constraintsMaintain detailed project documentation and design specificationsWhat we're looking forProven experience in design and estimation, preferably within the staircase, construction or architectural industryProficiency with design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp or similar CAD programmesStrong knowledge of building codes,
