With 80 years of experience, Cordina continue to bring new concepts to the market and assist our customers to create their own unique point of difference.About the RoleWe are currently seeking experienced and motivated Safety Officer to join our Safety team, supporting WHS operations across multiple sites throughout Current South Wales.
This is a hands‐on role ideal for individuals who are passionate about workplace safety, thrive in fast‐paced operational environments, and are committed to fostering a strong and proactive safety culture.Reporting to the Group WHS Manager, you will provide practical, on‐the‐ground support to ensure the effective implementation and ongoing improvement of WHS systems, processes, and compliance across the group.
This role will require regular travel between sites across NSW, based on a roster and operational requirements.
Flexibility and a willingness to travel are essential.Responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to;Conduct regular site inspections and WHS audits, identifying hazards and implementing practical risk controlsSupport and participate in incident investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective actionsDeliver WHS training, inductions, and toolbox talks across sitesCoordinate WHS Committee meetings, including agendas, minutes, and follow‐upsMonitor and report on key WHS metrics (LTIFR, incident frequency, severity rates)Support implementation and maintenance of the WHS Management SystemEnsure compliance with WHS legislation, company policies, and safety standardsAssist in contractor management and onboarding processesProvide hands‐on support and guidance to leaders and employees on WHS mattersConduct risk assessments and assist in developing Safe Work Procedures (SWPs)Provide administrative support across WHS functionsAbout YouAt least 3 years' experience in a hands‐on, safety role preferably within a fast‐paced manufacturing environment.A Cert IV, Diploma or Degree in a relevant area such as Work Health and SafetyUnderstanding of work health and safety Legislation, Standards and RegulationsStrong communication and influencing skillsAbility to promote and operate in a collaborative work environmentA full car licence is required to support regular travel between sites across NSW.Preferred Australian permanent resident or citizenWhy Join Cordina?
