Through IVF and assisted reproductive services, we support patients with care, science and compassion to create healthy families.As we continue to grow and strengthen our national finance function, we're looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join our team and play a key role in supporting the people and services that make this possible.About the OpportunityReporting to the National Accounts Payable Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end accounts payable process across our national operations.This is a hands-on role where you'll manage invoice processing, vendor maintenance, payment runs, reconciliations and reporting, while partnering with stakeholders across the business to ensure payments are made accurately, efficiently and on time.We're looking for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced setting, has a strong eye for detail and takes pride in delivering outstanding service to both internal and external stakeholders.What You'll Be DoingAccounts PayableProcess, reconcile and maintain supplier invoices across SAP Concur and ERP systemsResolve invoice exceptions and discrepancies in a timely mannerManage vendor creation and amendment requests, maintaining accurate supplier recordsLiaise with purchase order creators and approvers to validate coding and accounting informationCoordinate and administer weekly payment runsInvestigate and resolve supplier payment enquiries and account discrepanciesSupport month-end activities,
including supplier statement reconciliations and corporate credit card reconciliationsPrepare and maintain reporting data for Payment Times Reporting (PTR)Stakeholder ManagementBuild strong relationships with internal stakeholders across finance, operations and project teamsMaintain positive and professional relationships with external suppliers and vendorsProvide responsive and solutions-focused support for payment and account-related enquiriesMonitor vendor accounts to identify outstanding invoices, trends and potential risksPrepare regular reporting on accounts payable performance and payment metricsContribute ideas and recommendations to improve processes, controls and efficiencyComplianceMaintain compliance with procurement, accounts payable and financial policies and proceduresSupport a positive culture of risk management, quality and workplace safetyAbout YouTo succeed in this role, you'll bring:Previous experience in an Accounts Payable Officer or similar finance roleStrong knowledge of end-to-end accounts payable processesExcellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracyStrong communication and stakeholder engagement skillsExceptional organisational and time management capabilitiesIntermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skillsExperience using finance and ERP systems such as SAP Concur, Sage, NetSuite, Oracle or similarA proactive, customer-focused and collaborative approachStrong problem-solving skills and a continuous improvement mindsetWhy Join Virtus Health?
