MSP Photography is Australia's largest school photography company, photographing more than 1.4 million students each year through a network of franchisees across the country.We're looking for a motivated and quality-focused Colour & Portrait Team Lead to direct our Colour & Portrait Production Team.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with solid photographic editing and colour management skills who enjoys leading people, improving processes, and delivering exceptional quality.If you're passionate about digital imaging, colour accuracy and working with others, we'd love to hear from you.About the RoleAs the Colour & Portrait Team Lead, you'll lead a team responsible for the colour correction, image set-up, and production of portrait and group photographs.
You'll ensure our products consistently meet MSP's high quality standards while maintaining efficient production schedules during our busy school photography seasons.Working closely with the Production Manager, and reporting to the CEO, you'll direct daily workflow, coach, train and develop staff, monitor production quality, meet production deadlines, and help drive continuous improvement throughout the department.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the Colour & Portrait Production Team and coordinate daily workflow to ensure production deadlines are achieved.Perform colour correction and quality control on portrait and group images.Assist in calibrating monitors and printing equipment to maintain colour accuracy.Monitor production quality and minimise reprints through effective quality assurance.Track jobs within your department and ensure schedules are maintained.Assist with recruitment, onboarding and training of new team members and provide ongoing coaching.Liaise with franchisees regarding production or image quality issues.Participate in daily production planning.Maintain a safe, organised and efficient work environment.About YouIdeally, you'll have:Experience in digital image editing, colour correction, Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom skills.A strong understanding of colour management and monitor calibration.Experience directing a team and keeping staff engaged.Excellent organisational and time management skills.Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.The ability to work under pressure while meeting tight production deadlines.Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.Ability to work a standard 10 hour shift (7 am to 5.30 pm) during our peak period and the occasional Saturday morning shift.We have an annual closedown between mid December to early February.Experience within photography, print production or digital imaging will be highly regarded.What Success Looks LikePortrait and colour production is completed within required turnaround times.Outstanding image quality is consistently delivered to customers.Production schedules are achieved.Reprints due to production errors are kept to an absolute minimum.The team is engaged, productive and continually developing their skills.Why Join MSP?
