Odyssey House NSW's trauma-informed services set us apart as a leader in the support service space for alcohol and other drugs dependency.
Our teams help clients to meet their goals and address underlying trauma and mental health issues, while also developing new skills to improve all aspects of their lives.
We provide a diverse range of services to individuals, families and community education.
Our services include withdrawal services; one-on-one assessment and treatment by psychologists and counsellors; group therapy; residential rehabilitation; and free education at Odyssey College.

Job Description
Join our nursing team delivering high-quality care within a residential rehabilitation setting.
Our Medical Unit provides withdrawal management (detoxification), primary health care, chronic disease management, mental health support, and ongoing health care services to clients participating in both short- and long-term residential treatment programs.
As an Enrolled Nurse, you will work closely with Registered Nurses, fellow Enrolled Nurses,



and an AOD Lived Experience Worker to support clients on their recovery journey.
This varied and rewarding role offers the prospect to build skills across addiction medicine, mental health, and primary health care while making a meaningful difference in people's lives.
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate nurse who can work with a degree of autonomy, demonstrate sound clinical judgement, and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams across the organisation.
This is a rotating shift position, offering a agile work environment and the opportunity to develop expertise in a specialised area of nursing.

Desired Skills and Experience
Essential Criteria
Current authority to practice as an Endorsed Enrolled Nurse (EEN) with AHPRA.
Current NSW Driver Licence.
Current Working With Children Check (paid employment) or ability to obtain.
Current National Criminal History Check (within the last 12 months) or ability to obtain.
Unrestricted right to live and work in Australia.
COVID Vaccinated.
Demonstrated knowledge, skills and clinical experience in primary health assessment and management of clients with complex health needs.
Demonstrated computer literacy, including experience with electronic clinical documentation systems.
Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a collaborative multidisciplinary team environment.
Desirable Criteria
Experience and knowledge in working with people experiencing Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) and/or Mental Health issues.
Community nursing experience, including case management, group facilitation and/or health promotion activities.
Well-developed verbal and written communication skills, including experience liaising and collaborating within multidisciplinary teams, preferably in an AOD, community health or similar non-government service.
