Female Team Leader– Supported Independent Living (SIL)

CSBS is seeking an experienced and values-driven Team Leader to provide leadership across two Supported Independent Living (SIL) services in Ipswich.
This is a hands-on leadership role supporting adults with complex disability and health support needs while guiding, mentoring, and coordinating a team of Support Workers to deliver safe, person-centred, high-quality supports.
Working closely with the Operations Manager, you'll oversee the day-to-day operations of both homes, ensuring participants receive supports that reflect their goals, choices, rights, and aspirations while maintaining compliance with NDIS Practice Standards and organisational requirements.
About the Role
This full-time position combines direct participant support with leadership, coaching, and service coordination responsibilities across two SIL homes.
You'll provide operational oversight, support quality outcomes for participants, and build a positive, capable team culture that promotes dignity, independence, inclusion, and meaningful community participation.
Your Role May Include
Leading and mentoring Support Workers across two SIL sites
Delivering hands-on support to participants with complex disability and health support needs
Conducting staff supervision, reflective practice sessions, and performance conversations
Liaising with families, nominees, support coordinators, allied health professionals, and other stakeholders
Supporting participant choice and decision-making regarding their homes, routines, and supports
Monitoring documentation, reporting,
and compliance requirements
Managing household purchasing, consumables, and approved budgets
Promoting Positive Behaviour Support practices and safe support delivery
Ensuring supports are delivered in accordance with NDIS Practice Standards and CSBS policies and procedures
About You
You are an experienced disability professional who enjoys developing others and leading by example.
You can balance participant-focused support with operational responsibilities, build strong relationships with stakeholders, and maintain a calm, solutions-focused approach in complex environments.

Managing operational requirements within a 24/7 support environment
You'll Bring
Demonstrated experience supporting people with disability
Previous experience leading, mentoring, or coordinating teams
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities
Confidence managing competing priorities across multiple sites
A team-oriented and values-driven leadership style
Commitment to person-centred practice, dignity, choice, and inclusion
Resilience, adaptability, and a continuous improvement mindset
Qualifications & Requirements
NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
Queensland Blue Card
Current First Aid & CPR Certification (or willingness to obtain)
Current Queensland Driver Licence
Reliable insured vehicle
Certificate III or IV in Disability, Individual Support, Community Services or similar (or willingness to undertake)
