You will work in a team setting that strives to deliver outstanding healthcare to our patients.As a valued Food Services Assistant, your responsibilities will include:Assist in preparation of food trays for patient consumptionQuality checking food trays before delivering meals to patients, ensuring patients receive appropriate meals according to dietary requirements.Deliver, serve and collect all patient food requirements and meal tray in a friendly and courteous manner.Cleaning duties, including fridges and preparation areas, kitchen area,



dish wash areaClean and maintain utensils and kitchen equipment in accordance with hospital & industry food safety and hygiene standardsGeneral cleaning and sanitising of all areas of food preparation areas.Selection Criteria - what works for us:Must havePrior experience in Healthcare Food Services as a Catering Assistant or Kitchenhand.Knowledge of dietary restriction and allergiesKnowledge of food safety and hygiene requirementsEffective English reading, writing, and verbal skillsBe reliable and punctualThe ability to support the Head Cook and the team in a busy kitchen.Strong hygiene practices and attention to detailAbility to work autonomously, without supervision, as well as a part of a teamPassionate about delivering exceptional customer serviceMotivated by personal growth and accountabilityFlexibility to work a variety of shifts - split shifts, morning/afternoon shifts & weekend work.You must be available for weekday shifts.The successful applicant will require a minimum of Food Handling Certificate, Police Check as well as a valid Working with Children Check.
