With increased customer demand, Specsavers Top Rydeis looking for a motivated Optical Assistant to join our growing team.This is an amazing opportunity for someone with an interest in optics, retail sales, customer service and aftercare.
Experience in optics will be highly regarded but is not necessary as full training will be provided.
A keen desire to learn in a challenging fast paced environment is highly valued, along with initiative, punctuality and reliability.Optical Assistants play a vital role in our stores and will be responsible for the following duties:Provide high level customer service on the retail floor, assisting with pre-testing, frame styling,



dispensing and providing in depth product informationAssist with managing a busy dairy – booking customer appointmentsAdjusting and fitting customers frames and ensuring our product exceeds their expectationsEnsure merchandising standards are met including general cleanliness of the storeThe successful candidate will have a rewarding career with Specsavers and will possess the following skills and experience:Previous experience of 2 years or more in a customer service / retail roleExcellent verbal and written skills with strong attention to detailsThe ability to build genuine and supportive relationships with colleagues and customers with the aim of providing amazing customer serviceThe ideal candidate will be adaptable to work retail hours including Saturdays and Sundays.
Must also be available to cover extra shifts during busy periods or to cover annual leave and sick leave.
