About YouWe are looking for passionate and motivated newly qualified registered midwives and dual degree graduates who are eager to learn, build confidence and make a difference for women, babies and families.You will thrive at Mater if you are committed to professional growth, value teamwork and are excited to develop your skills in a supportive healthcare environment.To be eligible, you will have completed a Bachelor of Midwifery or a Bachelor of Midwifery and Nursing within the past 12 months and have less than six months (or 900 hours)
of post-graduate experience as a Registered Midwife and/or a Registered Nurse.What is included in the programs?

Where applicable, applicants holding dual degree qualifications will also be considered for the Midwifery program.Midwifery Program:Gain extensive experience in midwifery through placements at Mater Mothers' Hospital, working in up to four core clinical areas including birth suite, antenatal clinic, high-risk pregnancy unit and postnatal unit.Designed to help you solidify your foundational knowledge and skills in both midwifery and nursing, this 18-month program includes two dedicated clinical placements:Midwifery – 12 monthsGain extensive experience in midwifery through placements at Mater Mothers' Hospital, working in up to four core clinical areas including birth suite, antenatal clinic, high-risk pregnancy unit and postnatal unit.Nursing – 6 monthsComplete a dedicated 6-month nursing placement, providing you with a well-rounded skillset to complement your midwifery rotation.Increased career options, opening doors to a wider range of career opportunities in both midwifery and nursing fieldsGraduate with a comprehensive skillset that allows you to provide exceptional care for women and families throughout their healthcare journeyIntegrated learning and clinical experience across both disciplinesAcross both graduate programs, you will build your clinical capability through structured learning and development opportunities,
