Hart Rural Agencies is seeking an experienced Sales Agronomist to join our team.
This is a full-time position that combines technical agronomic expertise with a consultative sales approach throughout our three locations (Barraba, Manilla and Bingara NSW).
As a Sales Agronomist, you will be instrumental in supporting our farming clients by providing expert agronomic advice whilst driving business growth and client relationships.
This role sits at the intersection of technical knowledge and commercial success, making it vital to our operations and our customers' productivity.Key responsibilitiesProvide expert agronomic advice and recommendations to farming clients, supporting their decision-making on crop selection, soil management and farming practicesIdentify client needs and develop tailored solutions that align with their farming objectives and operational requirementsBuild and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients through regular farm visits and consultationsPromote and sell Hart Rural Agencies products and services, including seeds, fertilisers, crop protection products and other agricultural inputsConduct soil testing, crop assessments and other diagnostic work to inform agronomic recommendationsStay current with agronomic research, industry developments and best practice farming techniquesPrepare reports and documentation for clients, detailing agronomic recommendations and outcomesCollaborate with internal teams to ensure client needs are met and sales targets are achievedRepresent Hart Rural Agencies at industry events, field days and community functionsWhat we're looking forA tertiary qualification in Agriculture, Agronomy or a related disciplineProven experience working as an Agronomist or in an agricultural advisory roleStrong technical knowledge of crop production, soil science and farm management practices relevant to the regionDemonstrated ability to combine technical expertise with effective sales and client relationship managementExcellent communication skills,



with the ability to explain complex agronomic concepts clearly to farmers and stakeholdersSound knowledge of agricultural products and inputs commonly used in farming operationsA valid driver's licence and willingness to travel regularly to client farmsStrong problem-solving abilities and a consultative approach to supporting clientsProficiency with computer systems and agricultural software platformsExperience in the Current England or Northern Tablelands region is highly desirableWhat we offerHart Rural Agencies is committed to supporting the professional development and wellbeing of our team members.
