Mechanical Fitter – Tunnel Ventilation SystemsZitron is a global leader in tunnel ventilation systems, delivering critical infrastructure solutions across metro, rail, and underground projects worldwide.About the RoleWe are seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters to support the installation of tunnel ventilation systems, including large axial fans, attenuators, dampers, and associated mechanical equipment.You will be part of a high-performing site team delivering complex mechanical installations in a live rail infrastructure workplace.Key ResponsibilitiesInstall and assemble mechanical equipment including fans, ducting, dampers, and support structuresInterpret drawings, specifications, and installation proceduresCarry out alignment, bolting,



and mechanical fit-up activitiesWork closely with Supervisors and Engineers to ensure quality outcomesPerform pre-start checks and ensure tools/equipment are fit for purposeAdhere to all safety procedures and project requirementsParticipate in QA/QC processes including inspectionsAbout YouTrade qualified Mechanical Fitter or equivalentExperience in heavy mechanical installation projects (ideally infrastructure or industrial)Ability to read and interpret technical drawingsExperience working in construction or rail/tunnel environments (highly regarded)Strong focus on safety and qualityAbility to work effectively in a team environmentWhite Card (mandatory)What We OfferWork on major Sydney rail infrastructure projectsCompetitive hourly rates and allowancesOpportunity to work with specialised tunnel ventilation systemsSupportive team environment
