We have casual, residential Youth Worker roles available inRyde, Roseville, Turramurra, Artarmon, Pymble, Waitara, North Shore & St Ives.
Youth Workers will be required to:
Deliver high quality care and support within a 24-hour residential setting to children and young people who are unable to live with their families, kinship carers or foster carers.
Be able to work acombinationof shifts which may include: day shifts - from ****, afternoon & sleepovers shifts - from *********** next day, actives night shifts - from *********/midnight.
Respond to the young person's emotional and functional needs and the development of their personal skills.
Work within a team to provide trauma informed & therapeutic care to young people who present complex needs due to past trauma and abuse.
Provide a secure and home environment while supporting young people to achieve their goals.
Assist with administrative requirements and household duties.

What you need:
A minimum Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention or a recognised tertiary qualification in Youth Work, Community Services or a related qualification (or working towards)
Experience supporting high risk youth in a residential care setting.
Australian driver's license (We cannot accept international licenses)
First Aid Certificate with current CPR
Working with Children Check (paid employee status)
National police check (current within 6 months)
Have a reliable car with registration certificate
Reliable smart phone with data
Ability to work a combination of morning, afternoon and over night shifts (active and/or sleepover shifts)
Previous experience working with children and young people with complex needs including sexualised behaviors.
