The Self Care Sisterhood

New South Wales

HAES aligned Personal Trainer / Group Coach
The Self Care Sisterhood is an intimate group and personal training space, focussed on heart-lead, connection first relationships with our incredible and diverse community.
We structure all that we do from ourbusiness core values:
The blanket rule - members can stop and rest at any point.
We listen to our bodies here.
Options for all bodies - our programming and coaching is guided by the principal that there is an option for every body, and that all of those options are valid ways to move.
This means we work hard to continue professional development and ensure we are able to provide support to those living with chronic illness, disabilities, neurodivergence, and any other factor which has previously restricted the way they move.
The wink rule - members can ask for an option or support with a wink or a wave in class to ensure everyone feels seen and able to move at their pace.
Health At Every Size - we know, scientifically and anecdotally, that diet culture does not work for long term wellness.
We operate from a body neutral standpoint which means no weight chat, no mirrors, no scales, and certainly no calories.
We move for our mind first - the why of our space has always been movement for mental health.
If you can show up and move to support your mind first, the rest will follow.
A few things that set us apart:
Classes with a maximum of 12 people, working in 3 small groups to foster connection and community
A maximum member limit to ensure our team knows every member by name, and has capacity to provide weekly checkin, celebrate member milestones, and to focus on continual improvement in every service we deliver.
Visual program support throughout class to help ease mental load for both client and trainer

13 week periodised programming designed by our head team with over 25 years experience.
Programming is designed to minimise client mental load, prioritise functional movement for real life tasks, and tackle common compensations/injuries/overuse concerns.
Education first coaching - clients don't take our advice because we say so.
They seek out our guidance because we help them understand the why of every suggestion/programming choice.
Our quirky, colourful space invites every team and community member to show up as they are
Our community is filled with strangers who have found their way to lifelong friendships while moving together.
Whether they see each other daily, weekly, or not for months at a time, they ask after each other, offer a hug when needed, invite each other to coffee dates after classes to check in when someone is struggling.
Our community turn over is very very minimal, with members sticking around since our opening in ****, racking up near **** sessions
Don't let our kindness and options for all bodies mentality fool you, we lift heavy around here.
Our OG members have developed skillsets which make them safe, confident and functional lifters tackling triple digit 4 rep maxes with ease.
Who we serve:
Ours is a safe space for any she/her or they/them identifying individual
Each member brings their own set of life stress, health concerns and movement goals,

and we meet them exactly where they are and foster inclusion through connection
Our community is a diverse one, with representation of different cultural, sexual and gender identities and neurotypes.
You might be our new coach if you:
Continue to make fitness, education and supporting women your career, passion and reason to show up each day.
We are a "life's work" kind of space, not a "just passing through" vibe.
Hold a Certificate 3 and 4 in fitness and current first aid certificate
Have flexibility in your schedule to be available a minimum of 5 days per week, including at least 1 weekend day.
Please bear in mind, we are in an industry caring for those who often work a 9-5, so shifts will always include early morning starts, evening shifts and weekends.
Ideally hold additional relevant qualifications (pilates, yoga, pre/post-natal training, etc)
Have a firm grasp of HAES principals and choose to work with a vocabulary that supports this (ie no weight chat, trauma informed practice)
Are committed to further career development and proactively seek out latest updates to best practice.
A strong foundation in functional and free-weight focused coaching is a must.
Regular professional development & teacher mentoring 1-2-1 and in paid team meetings is done with Chloe - our founder + head PT/Teacher Trainer
Believe to your core that fitness is so much more than a look, and prioritise your own training to support your future movement and longevity, rather than aesthetic or numeric goals.
If you've made it this far and think we might be the next step in your beautiful career, we'd love to hear from you.
We have immediate start roles available for the right candidate/s and can't wait to get to know you.
