Global Disability & Community Services is seeking a compassionate and culturally respectful Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Support Worker to support an Indigenous NDIS Participant.
This is an chance to make a meaningful difference by providing support that recognizes the importance of culture, identity, family, community connection, and personal choice.
We are looking for someone who can build a genuine relationship with the participant and provide support in a way that is respectful, empowering, and aligned with their individual goals and preferences.
About the role:
Provide person-centred disability support
Support community participation and meaningful activities
Encourage independence and confidence




Assist the participant to maintain important cultural and community connections
Build a trusting relationship based on respect, understanding, and dignity
About you:
Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander applicants are strongly encouraged to apply
Experience in disability support
An understanding and respect for Indigenous culture, values and community
Tertiary Qualifications are not essential but desirable.
Requirements:
NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
First Aid & CPR (or willingness to obtain)
Current driver's licence and reliable transport
Commitment to providing safe, respectful, and quality support
