A leading national law firm is looking to appoint an Associate or Senior Associate to join its growing Government & Commercial Law team in Sydney.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on a broad range of government and commercial matters, advising Commonwealth and State Government clients on major infrastructure projects, procurement, commercial contracts, probity and grant programs.
The role offers exposure to complex, high-profile matters while working closely with an experienced and well-regarded team across Sydney and Canberra.
The Role
Government procurement and commercial contracting
Major infrastructure and project delivery
Probity advice on significant government projects
Grant program design and administration
Drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements
Government policy, legislative interpretation and risk management
Working directly with government stakeholders to deliver practical legal solutions
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
At least 3 years' PAE in government, administrative or commercial law
Experience advising government clients or working on public sector matters (highly regarded)
Robust commercial contracting and procurement experience
Exposure to infrastructure, major projects or grant programs is advantageous
Excellent drafting, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
The ability to obtain (or already hold) an Australian Government Security Clearance
