About the Role
Damcon Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced and proactiveHSE Advisorto join our team based at ourGregory Hills Head Office.
This is a hands-on role where you'll work closely with Project Managers, Supervisors and site teams to support the safe and compliant delivery of our civil construction projects.
While your role is based at our modern Gregory Hills Head Office,you'll regularly visit active project sites,working closely with our teams to provide practical HSE support and help maintain the high safety standards that Damcon is known for.
You'll be responsible for supporting compliance with Damcon's Integrated Management System (IMS), providing practical HSE advice, and helping drive a positive safety culture across the business.

Key Responsibilities
As our HSE Advisor, you will:
Maintain a strong site presence, supporting project teams to achieve and maintain compliance with Damcon's Integrated Management System (IMS).
Conduct workplace assessments and analyse HSE data to identify trends and opportunities for continuous improvement.
Identify health, safety and environmental risks and provide practical advice and solutions to Project Managers, Supervisors and site personnel.
Coordinate and assist with the investigation of incidents, hazards and near misses, including root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions.
Monitor compliance with Damcon's HSE systems, procedures and legislative requirements across all projects.
Deliver HSE inductions, toolbox talks and support ongoing safety awareness initiatives.




Assist in the management of workers' compensation claims and return-to-work rehabilitation programs.
Prepare and maintain HSE reports, records, inspections and compliance documentation.
Support the communication and distribution of HSE information, safety alerts, lessons learned and continuous improvement initiatives across the business.
Assist Project Managers with risk assessments, Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) and other project compliance requirements.
Maintain current knowledge of WHS legislation, Codes of Practice, Australian Standards and industry best practice.
Build positive working relationships with clients, regulators and project stakeholders while representing Damcon professionally.
Promote and ensure the consistent application of Damcon's HSE policies, procedures and safe work practices.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
A qualification in Work Health and Safety or a related discipline.
Previous experience in an HSE Advisor or similar role within the civil construction, infrastructure or construction industry.
Strong knowledge of Australian Work Health and Safety legislation, Codes of Practice and industry standards.
Experience conducting site inspections, audits, incident investigations and risk assessments.
The ability to prepare HSE reports, compliance documentation and supporting project records.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills,



with the ability to build strong working relationships across all levels of the business.
A practical, solution-focused approach with the confidence to influence positive safety behaviours.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
A genuine commitment to continuous improvement and maintaining high HSE standards.
Demonstrated ability to interpret project documentation and prepare compliance reports and supporting documentation.
A current NSW Driver Licence and the ability to travel to project sites across as required.
