Our client is currently seeking an experienced Airconditioning and Refrigeration Mechanic to join our team!
Duties and responsibilities:
Interpret technical drawings and specifications to determine job requirements and set out precise installation reference points.
Drill, cut, bend, thread, and install piping, as well as mount brackets and supports for HVAC and refrigeration systems.
Install, maintain, and repair critical components including compressors, motors,



condensers, evaporators, switches, gauges, and copper lines for refrigerants, steam, gas, compressed air, oil, and chilled water systems.
Connect equipment using bolting, soldering, welding, riveting, and brazing, ensuring proper alignment and secure fit.
Charge systems with refrigerants or fluids and test for leaks to guarantee system integrity.
Operate and test refrigeration and HVAC systems, adjusting mechanisms for optimal performance.
Safely evacuate test gases and fluids with vacuum pumps, then recharge systems with refrigerants.
Diagnose faults, service and overhaul refrigeration systems, and repair or replace defective components as needed.
Calibrate system controls, reassemble systems, and ensure full operational efficiency.
Document system faults, corrective actions, and maintenance performed for record-keeping and compliance.
Requirements
Relevant qualification or equivalent industry experience.
3 years' experience in air conditioning and refrigeration or a similar role
White Card (for on-site work)
Team player with attention to detail and punctuality
Salary: The role offers a remuneration package ranging from $****** - $ ****** + plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week.
