Medical Receptionist – Job Description
Greet and assist patients in person and over the phone in a courteous and professional manner
Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments efficiently
Maintain accurate patient records and update personal and financial information
Ensure appointments run on time by coordinating with healthcare providers and managing delays
Respond to patient enquiries and direct them appropriately
Maintain a clean, welcoming, and organised reception area
File, retrieve, and manage medical records securely
Handle billing, accounts, and general administrative duties
Monitor and maintain office supplies and equipment,



arranging orders and repairs as needed
Provide support to patients in distress or emergency situations
Uphold strict confidentiality of patient information at all times
Follow practice policies and procedures, contributing to continuous improvement
Work collaboratively with the team to support daily operations
