We're looking for a motivated, detail-oriented Steel Scheduler & Estimator to join our growing Penrith team. You'll prepare accurate quotations, schedule reinforcing steel requirements and coordinate orders — making sure projects are delivered on time, every time.
It's a role for someone who enjoys solving problems, works well with customers and suppliers, and takes pride in getting the numbers right.
What you'll be doing
Preparing accurate steel take-offs and quotations from engineering and construction drawings
Interpreting structural and reinforcing steel plans and specifications
Scheduling reinforcing steel and processing requirements to meet customer deadlines
Coordinating with suppliers, production teams and logistics to ensure timely delivery
Liaising with builders, contractors and project managers across the project lifecycle
Monitoring project schedules and proactively flagging changes or delays
Processing customer orders and maintaining accurate documentation
Providing technical product advice and building robust customer relationships
What you'll bring
Previous experience in steel estimating, scheduling or construction estimating
Background in reinforcing steel, structural steel or building materials (highly regarded)
Ability to read and interpret engineering and construction drawings
Strong numerical, analytical and organisational skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
Confident communication and relationship-building skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and estimating or scheduling software
Ability to juggle multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment

$100,000 – $140,000 + superannuation, based on experience
