About the Role
We are seeking an experienced, hands-on and mechanically minded Filling & Packaging Equipment Maintenance & Reliability Technician to join our growing production team.
This is more than a standard machine operator role.
We are looking for someone who enjoys understanding how machinery works, setting up and fine-tuning equipment, diagnosing problems and finding practical solutions to keep production running efficiently.
You will play a key hands-on role in thesetup, operation, changeover, troubleshooting and optimisation of our filling and packaging equipmentacross a broad range of cosmetic and personal care products.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience with filling or packaging machinery and a strong mechanical aptitude, ideally with exposure topneumatics, pumps, valves, sensors and basic electrical fault finding.
You don't necessarily need to be a qualified fitter or electrician.
We are looking for someone who is naturally mechanically minded, enjoys troubleshooting machinery and takes pride in getting equipment running at its best.
Key Responsibilities
Set up, adjust and operate liquid, cream and semi-viscous filling and packaging machinery




Perform production line setups and changeovers between different products and packaging formats
Troubleshoot filling, capping, labelling, conveyor and other production equipment
Diagnose mechanical and operational issues and make practical adjustments to minimise downtime
Work with pneumatic systems, pumps, valves, cylinders, sensors and other machine components
Assist with basic electrical fault finding involving sensors, switches, connections and machine controls
Fine-tune machinery to improve filling accuracy, reliability, output and overall line performance
Assist with preventative maintenance and identify potential equipment issues before they result in breakdowns
Complete equipment strip-down, cleaning, reassembly and preparation between production runs
Identify opportunities to improve changeover times, efficiency and equipment reliability
Complete all required production and GMP documentation accurately
Ensure products meet quality standards and customer specifications
Work closely with production, QA/QC and management to ensure smooth manufacturing operations
Support and guide other production operators in the correct operation of machinery
Maintain high standards of safety, cleanliness and housekeeping
About You
We are particularly interested in someone with:
Previous hands-on experience operating, setting or troubleshootingfilling, packaging or automated production machinery
Strong mechanical aptitude and practical problem-solving ability
Experience performing machine setups, adjustments and production changeovers
An understanding ofpneumatic equipment and systems
Experience working with equipment such as pumps, valves, pneumatic cylinders, sensors, conveyors or similar industrial machinery
Basic electrical understanding and confidence identifying issues with sensors, switches and simple machine controls
The ability to diagnosewhy a machine isn't performing correctly and work methodically toward a solution
A proactive approach to reducing downtime and improving equipment performance




Strong attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality work
The ability to work autonomously, show initiative and contribute positively within a team
Experience incosmetics, pharmaceutical, food, beverage, chemical, FMCG or other filling and packaging environmentswould be highly regarded.
A forklift licence and previous experience with GMP manufacturing are advantageous but not essential.

Selection Criteria
Previous experience with filling, packaging or production machinery
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Experience with machine setup and changeovers
Pneumatic knowledge or experience highly regarded
Basic electrical knowledge highly regarded
Experience in cosmetics, pharmaceutical, food, beverage, chemical or FMCG manufacturing advantageous
Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team
Strong work ethic and ability to thrive in a hands-on manufacturing environment
Ability to work autonomously and show initiative
Commitment to continuous improvement and learning
Reliable and punctual with reliable transport to Cardiff, NSW
Forklift licence advantageous
Immediate availability highly regarded
