Music on Purpose is a Sydney-based music studio and school that believes music can change the world. We teach students of all ages and levels, and we care as much about the kind of humans our students become as the musicians they turn into. We're growing our team and looking for teachers who want to grow with us, not just fill a timetable slot. Teachers who actually want to make a difference in people's lives and are excited to grow with the business as we expand into the online, media space.

About the role

We're looking for an experienced, multi-instrumentalist music teacher to start immediately and join our team long-term. You'll work with a consistent roster of students, supported by a studio that actually invests in its teachers. Not just on a lesson-by-lesson basis.

This isn't a stopgap role. We want someone who's been teaching for a while, knows what it takes to keep a student motivated and progressing,



and is looking for a place to settle in and build something over time.

What you'll bring
Proven experience teaching music, ideally across multiple instruments (e.g. piano, guitar, voice)
A genuine interest in students' development. Not just technical progress, but confidence and engagement
Robust communication skills with students and parents
Reliability and professionalism: someone families and colleagues can count on
A desire for a long-term teaching role, not a short-term or transitional one
