About the Position
The position provides direct responsibility for managing the daily operation of the curriculum and pedagogy for the group of children attending the service in the years before they enter the preparatory year of schooling in order for the service to access and comply with funding arrangements.
The position actively supports identification and delivery of the service Quality Improvement Plan (QIP) and acts as an ambassador for the Carey Lane Early Learning Centre. Carrying out the duties and expectations of the position description the position supports the Approved Provider to meet its legislative responsibilities.
About You
The successful applicant will be qualified and must demonstrate a thorough understanding of the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines (QKLG) together with the Early Years Framework (EYLF), The National Quality Standards (NQS) and the effective use of ICT. Candidates must possess the following:
Early Childhood Teacher Qualification
Current Paid Blue Card
Knowledge and application of Qld Kindergarten Early Years Learning Framework
Current First Aid and CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management training
Key Selection Criteria
Ability to support the work of the Carey Lane Early Learning Centre,
its management committee and the Approved Provider in a timely, positive and effective manner
Ability to work in accordance with the Child Safe Anglican Education Policy at all times
Ability to work within Carey Lane Early Learning philosophy and policies
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a diverse range of team members
Ability to actively participate in the development and implementation of the service QIP
Demonstrated ability to document, participate in curriculum decision making and curriculum implementation to ensure it complies with all governing legislative requirements
Demonstrate high level of professional written and spoken communication skills
Ability to ensure the group of children to whom you are allocated operates within recognised curriculum and care frameworks and standards
Demonstrated ability to provide daily communication of the curriculum pedagogy and documentation with children, parents/guardians, staff members and other stakeholders in a professional manner.
