The Opportunity
We're looking for a detail-oriented and proactive
Risk and Compliance Officer
to join our team. This is an operational support role, reporting to the Strategic Operations Manager. The successful candidate will help embed sound risk and compliance practices across our multi-campus organisation — supporting everything from risk registers and policy management to Child Safe Standards and WHS.
This is an on-site based role with travel required across all College campuses (Redfern, Campbelltown, Fairfield, Blacktown, Picton) (no remote option).
What You'll Be Doing
Maintain and update the College's risk register, and support risk identification and monitoring across campuses
Coordinate risk reviews and internal audits, and assist in administering the College's Folio compliance platform
Support the review, development and version control of College policies in line with legislative requirements
Track the policy review cycle and flag implications of regulatory changes
Support implementation and monitoring of the College's Child Safe Framework, including training, records and reporting
Assist with lockdown/evacuation drill coordination, first aid audits,



WHS Committee participation, and site walkarounds
Prepare reports, briefings and correspondence, and contribute to cross-functional continuous improvement projects
What We're Looking For
Relevant qualifications in risk management, compliance, WHS or a related field
Experience developing, reviewing and implementing policies and procedures
Working knowledge of (or ability to quickly develop understanding of) Child Safe Standards, privacy legislation and WHS requirements
Strong organisational skills and the ability to juggle competing priorities across multiple sites
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and confidence learning compliance/document management systems
A cooperative approach and the integrity to handle confidential information
Experience in an educational setting is desirable but not essential
