Great prospect to work with a well-established and reputable civil contractor on projects such as earthworks, excavation, civil etc.
Our client is a well-established and market leading national tier 2 civil contractor, they are looking for an experienced and dedicatedProject ManagerorSenior Project Managerto join their growing business.
Our client provides their services across a number of industry sectors such as building construction, industrial, mining and resources, transport infrastructure, environmental etc. and you will be responsible for contributing to the successful delivery of a couple of challenging projects.
Types of projects include bulk earthworks, demolition, excavation, retention, piling, foundations, ground improvement, soft and hard landscaping, site remediation and rehabilitation etc.
Typical values from $2.5m to $25m but can go up to $50m+.




Ideal candidate will live locally in the Gladstone region and travel between the 2 projects.
There will also be opportunities for this person to do business development in the region.
Years of experience:
5 to 10 years +
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Planning and scheduling of construction activities
Management of site project teams
Quality Assurance, Cost and Time Management
Preparation of management reports
Resolving site issues in a timely manner
Liaising with key clients and stakeholders
Coordinating internal and external resources
Recruitment and mentoring of teams
Business development
Qualifications and Requirements:
Tertiary Qualification in Civil Engineering or similar
5 - 10+ years' management experience on civil construction projects.
Project management qualifications will be advantageous
Proven understanding of construction with a hands-on approach
Proven ability to effectively lead and delegate
Effective problem-solving abilities
Ability to resolve conflict and manage client expectations
High level of organisation and time management skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
