About the role:
Based in Sydney at Rugby League Central, the Area General Manager - Hotels is responsible for the operational and commercial performance of four hotel properties across Brisbane, the Sunshine Coast, and Northern New South Wales.
Leading a team of Hotel Managers, you will provide strategic direction and operational oversight across all aspects of the business, including guest experience, revenue management, financial performance, people leadership, sales and marketing, compliance, and asset improvement initiatives.
In the role you will:
Lead the performance and day-to-day operations of four hotel properties.
Coach and develop Hotel Managers to build high-performing teams and strong leadership capability.
Drive revenue growth through pricing strategies, forecasting, yield management, and market analysis.
Manage budgets, financial performance, and cost control to achieve business objectives.
Partner on refurbishment,



asset enhancement, and development projects.
Lead sales, marketing, and partnership initiatives to strengthen market presence and commercial performance.
Ensure exceptional guest experiences and consistent brand standards across all properties.
Oversee compliance, risk management, governance, and workplace health and safety requirements.
Champion continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Provide regular operational and commercial reporting to senior management.
Ideally you will have:
Proven experience in a senior hotel leadership role, managing multiple properties or complex hospitality operations.
Strong knowledge of hotel operations, including accommodation, food and beverage, revenue management, finance, and people leadership.
Demonstrated success in driving commercial performance through budgeting, forecasting, and financial management.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance strategic thinking and operational execution.
Understanding of tourism and hospitality markets across Queensland and New South Wales.
High levels of integrity, professionalism, and accountability.
A collaborative, solutions-focused approach and passion for hospitality excellence.
