FERHM Heavy Maintenance
is a growing heavy equipment maintenance business based in Yatala. With a strong and established client base across the civil construction, quarrying, transport and mining industries, we are looking for a professional and qualified Diesel Fitter to join our team.
This is an opportunity to become part of a fully equipped and expanding business that values quality workmanship, clear communication and dependable service. You will work across a wide variety of machinery, with a mix of workshop and field-based maintenance and repairs.
The role
Your responsibilities will include:
Carrying out scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance
Diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults
Completing breakdown repairs in the workshop and on-site
Repairing and maintaining civil construction, quarry and mining equipment
Conducting inspections and identifying additional repairs or maintenance requirements
Completing accurate job reports, timesheets and service documentation
Communicating professionally with customers, supervisors and other trades
Maintaining a high standard of workmanship, safety and housekeeping
Supporting the continued growth and development of the business
About you
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
A recognised trade qualification as a Diesel Fitter or Heavy Vehicle Mechanic
Experience working on earthmoving, civil, quarry or mining equipment
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic abilities
Sound knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, powertrain and electrical systems
The ability to work independently and as part of a team
A skilled attitude and pride in the quality of your work
Good communication and job documentation skills
A current Australian driver's licence
Your own basic trade tools
A dual trade qualification or strong experience in auto electrical work will be highly regarded and may attract a higher remuneration package.
