HR Business Partner / Talent Acquisition Specialist (Temp)

The Opportunity

We are partnering with a national law firm to appoint an experienced HR Business Partner / Talent Acquisition Specialist to join their People & Culture team on a temporary contract. Working closely with leaders across the business, this role will lead end-to-end recruitment activity for both early careers and experienced hires. This is a hands‑on position suited to someone who enjoys working in a fast‑paced qualified services workplace and can quickly build credibility with stakeholders.

This role is based in Brisbane and offers the opportunity to work alongside an established People & Culture team within a well‑regarded national firm. It will be around 5 weeks, including a handover and hand‑back period.

About the Role

As a key member of the People & Culture team, you will:
Manage end-to-end recruitment across legal and business services roles
Partner with leaders to understand workforce needs and recruitment strategies
Source, attract and engage legal talent across a competitive market
Manage advertising, screening,



interviewing and offer management processes
Support onboarding and employee lifecycle activities
Assist with workforce planning and talent initiatives
Maintain recruitment and HR systems, reporting and documentation.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:
Previous experience in an HR Business Partner, HR Advisor or Talent Acquisition role
Demonstrated legal recruitment experience is essential
Experience recruiting lawyers and/or skilled services employees within a law firm environment.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders simultaneously
Confident communication and influencing skills
A proactive, solutions-focused approach
