Project Analysis Pty Ltd is seeking Builders Bills of Quantities measurers to join the measurement team in the Chatswood office on a full time basis to undertake accurate detailed trade measurement in the production of shared and exclusive Builders Bills of Quantities.
Project Analysis is a respected medium sized company that has a proven track record in the production of Builder's Bills of Quantities for tendering purposes and is a measurement only practice; due to the level of demand for measurement services the company offers no other quantity surveying services.
Tasks for the role include:
Measure building works from tender documentation accurately and in a detailed trade-based format in accordance with tender return schedules.
Review and interpret drawings, specifications, schedules, reports, and related tender documentation to prepare comprehensive quantity measurements.
Undertake measurement activities in a methodical and logical manner to ensure accuracy and completeness of tender quantities.
Prepare elemental coding of measured quantities to support future cost analysis by building contractors.
Code quantities to facilitate preparation of tender return schedules, including staging, separable portions, and tender option requirements.
Utilise CostX 2D software to perform on-screen measurement and quantity take-offs for construction projects.
Also utilise Buildsoft Global, Bluebeam, and manual measurement methods where clients do not operate the CostX platform or where possibly required for complex or large-scale Builders Bills of Quantities.
Operate the Mudshark platform to measure bulk earthworks quantities.




Apply knowledge of Standard Methods of Measurement and Abbreviated Methods of Measurement to assess new, irregular, or uncommon construction techniques.
Conduct quantity and scope checking of completed trade measurements to ensure accuracy and consistency.
Perform careful mark-off and verification of all measurement work prior to edit and finalisation by the Builders Bills of Quantities Team Leader.
Applicants must be an Australian citizen / permanent resident, or hold a valid work visa with full working rights.

Applicants should have current measurement experience utilising CostX 2D or other CostX modules, Buildsoft Global, Mudshark, Bluebeam and Excel and will need to illustrate at least 12 months industry experience in the measurement of trades on shared or exclusive Builders Bills of Quantities.

Minimum qualifications required will be an industry recognised university degree related to construction.
Starting salary for this position will be based upon relevant industry experience gained.
