, a leading name in the transport and logistics industry, is seeking a qualified and motivated
Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic
to join our
Gracemere
workshop team.
The successful candidate will be part of a productive team that isresponsible for maintaining our fleet of heavy vehicles, ensuring maximum uptime and reliability for transport operations.
This hands-on role is critical to keeping our fleet on the road and running safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, this role will include (but not limited to) the following duties;
Conduct regular scheduled servicing of our Kenworth Fleet
Carry out inspections, oil changes, filter replacements, and brake servicing.
Identify and report wear and tear issues before they lead to breakdowns.
Perform minor mechanical repairs and assist with more complex repairs as required.
Ensure service checklists and maintenance records are accurately completed.
Keep the workshop clean, organised, and compliant with safety regulations.
Roster & Renumeration
7 Rostered Shifts / 7 Non-Rostered Shifts
Daily shifts will ordinarily be worked from 6:00 am to 4:30 pm, with applicable breaks provided
Participation in a rostered on-call arrangement is required, with the applicable on-call allowance payable
Annualised salary of $124,******
The role also provides opportunities to work additional shifts,
which will be paid at the applicable rates
Monday to Friday
$***** per hour

Skills and Experience
Trade qualifications in Automotive Mechanics (Heavy Road Transport) are essential with demonstrated work experience as a Mechanic
Knowledge of Kenworth Trucks will be held in high regard
Experience with the maintenance of fuel trucks and trailers (highly desirable)
Demonstrated ability to work unsupervised whilst maintaining a safe work area
Proven culture of safety, understanding hazard identification and risk assessment process
Proactive approach to tasks and the ability to positively interact with customers
