Shipping Container Repairer / Welder-Fabricator

Gateway Container Park – Hemmant, Brisbane

Gateway Container Park is looking for an experienced, practical and reliable tradesperson to join our container repair team at our Hemmant depot.

We are a well-established, family-owned Brisbane business specialising in shipping container sales, hire, repairs and modifications.

The role

You will be carrying out repairs and maintenance on shipping containers, including:
Welding and steel repairs
Cutting, grinding and fabrication
Replacing container wall, roof and floor sections
Door repairs and alignment
Locking gear and seal repairs
General structural and cosmetic repairs
Preparing containers for sale, hire and transport
Assisting with container modifications when required

About you

Previous shipping container repair experience would be highly regarded, but we are also interested in hearing from experienced:
MIG welders
Boilermakers
Steel fabricators
Heavy vehicle or trailer repairers
Structural steel workers




Trade assistants with strong welding and fabrication skills

You will need to be:
Safety-conscious and dependable
Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
Able to assess damage and complete practical repairs
Physically capable of workshop and yard-based work
Proud of producing solid, reliable workmanship

Forklift experience, container repair experience and relevant trade qualifications would be an advantage.
