TCM Civil Pty Ltd is a well-established civil construction company specialising in water, sewer, stormwater and infrastructure projects throughout New South Wales. We are seeking an experienced, reliable and safety-focused HC Truck & Dog Driver to join our growing team.
This role involves transporting quarry materials, spoil, plant and equipment to and from civil construction projects while maintaining the highest standards of safety, professionalism and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Operate an HC truck and dog combination safely and efficiently.
Transport quarry products, spoil, sand, gravel and construction materials.
Complete daily pre-start inspections and vehicle safety checks.
Ensure loads are correctly restrained and comply with load restraint requirements.
Comply with all Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL) requirements.
Maintain accurate delivery documentation, work diaries and logbooks.
Report defects, incidents and maintenance requirements promptly.
Work closely with supervisors and project teams to meet project schedules.
Keep vehicles clean and presentable.
Follow all company WHS, environmental and quality procedures.
Must be willing to travel. Current projects Tamworth and Charlotte Bay.
Essential Qualifications & Licences
Applicants must possess:
Current Construction Induction (White Card).
Ability to comply with the Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL).
Current National Driver Work Diary (where legally required).
Demonstrated understanding of Chain of Responsibility (CoR) obligations.
Knowledge of Load Restraint Guide requirements.
Ability to pass a Pre-Employment Medical Assessment.
Ability to pass Drug & Alcohol Screening.
Good driving record.
Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
Highly Desirable
Previous experience operating truck & dog combinations.
Civil construction industry experience.
Experience working around live construction sites.
Loader, excavator or other plant operating experience.
Basic Fatigue Management (BFM) accreditation.
First Aid Certificate.
High Risk Work Licences (where applicable).
Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform minor maintenance.
GPS and electronic work diary experience.
