Rolling Stock Maintenance Technician (Mechanical or Electrical)

We are looking for qualified Mechanical and Electrical Tradespeople to join our client's growing Rolling Stock Maintenance team at Kangy Angy.
Supporting both operational and stabled passenger trains, you'll play a key role in maintaining fleet reliability, safety, and performance. Rolling stock experience is highly regarded; however, trade-qualified candidates from other industries are encouraged to apply, full training and support will be provided to successful candidates.
Key Responsibilities
Support live running trains and prepare rolling stock for revenue service at Kangy Angy
Carry out maintenance activities across various rolling stock storage locations
Diagnose faults and perform repairs on mechanical and/or electrical systems
Complete preventative and corrective maintenance tasks
Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with quality standards
Work collaboratively within a high performing maintenance team
This position will initially commence on a day shift roster, averaging 38 hours per week.
Skills & Experience
Full Australian working rights
Australian-recognised Mechanical or Electrical Trade Qualification
Certificate of Proficiency (or equivalent)
Strong fault-finding, troubleshooting, and diagnostic skills
Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and drawings
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Robust commitment to workplace health and safety
Reliable, self-motivated, and punctual
Ability to work independently and within a team environment
Focus on quality workmanship and continuous improvement
Forklift and/or Overhead Crane Licence (desirable but not essential)
Rail Industry Worker (RIW) card or willingness to obtain one (preferred)
