If you've ever been told "just pick a lane" — public practice OR commercial, bookkeeping OR advisory, compliance OR client relationships — this role is our polite way of saying nah, do all of it.
At Bloom, we run outsourced finance teams for our clients, end to end.
That means one day you might be knee-deep in reconciliations and checking over a set of reports before they land in a client's inbox.
The next, you're prepping a BAS, reviewing a tax return, and jumping on a call to walk a client through their P&L; like it's the easiest thing in the world (because you make it look that way).
Then Thursday rolls around and you're running payroll and writing the process doc so the rest of the team never has to guess how it's done again.
Varied doesn't even cover it.
This is a genuine hybrid role for someone who's worked across both public practice and commercial/industry, and who actually enjoys the mix rather than tolerating it.
What you'll be doing
Managing outsourced finance functions for a portfolio of clients — bookkeeping through to advisory
Reviewing management reports and financials before they go to clients
Preparing and lodging BAS and tax returns
Running payroll and keeping compliance tight
Being the client's go-to person — not just the numbers person
Writing and refining processes and procedures (we're a bit obsessed with efficiency, more on that below)




Working closely with a genuinely tight-knit team who'll actually have your back
What you'll bring
5+ years' experience, with exposure to both public practice and commercial/industry accounting
Comfortable across the full spectrum — bookkeeping, reporting, BAS, tax, payroll
A process-and-procedure brain — you document things so the team isn't reinventing the wheel
Strong client communication skills, because you'll be managing relationships, not just spreadsheets
A genuine team player who's in it for the culture as much as the work
