DDEG is a multi-disciplinary consultancy firm specialising in various areas of the building and construction industry, including Fire, Acoustics, Disability Access and many more. With offices in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Hobart we have national exposure to all building types, occupancies and configurations.
We are currently seeking a highly engaged individual to join our Disability Access team at our Sydney office. The successful candidate will be working at the forefront of an emerging discipline alongside a dynamic team of like-minded professionals in a positive, energetic workplace.
The Role
As a Senior Access Consultant at DDEG, your role will be crucial in guaranteeing adherence to disability regulations for a variety of projects and overseeing business objectives.

Main Duties
Provide leadership and support to the team, including mentoring for junior team members
Assistance with the development of business initiatives
Preparation of fee proposals
Review construction design documentation on a variety of small, medium and large-scale projects
Offer professional advice to clients, fostering strong business relationships
Oversee quality assurance, document control, and management processes
Preparation of Reports including but not limited to Performance Solutions, Design assessments etc.
Conduct site inspections and access audits
Working with the Director and assisting with day-to-day operational tasks
Skills and Qualifications
Minimum 4+ years of experience as an Access Consultant
Registration or on the way to becoming registered as a Draftsperson, Building Surveyor, or Accredited Access Consultant is favourable but not essential
Possession of a valid driver's license
Passion for enhancing accessibility in the built environment
Strong creativity, drive, and attention to detail
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team
Proficiency in report writing and mentoring capabilities
