Director of Care & Conduct - Middle School

We have a great opportunity following a redesign of our Secondary School structure redesign for a suitably qualified teacher who is passionate about joining the Genesis teaching community to be responsible for leading student wellbeing, behaviour, Christian character and culture across the Middle School (Years 7-9). The role works closely with the Head of Middle School and other College leaders to provide strategic and operational leadership that supports the College's mission, vision and priorities and may deputise for the Head of Middle School as needed. The Director of care & Conduct - Middle School ensires that the Care & Conduct Leaders (1 for each Year level) are supported in managing behavioural and wellbeing matters through clear guidance, partnership and timely follow-up. (Care & Conduct Leaders are typically referred to as Year Level Coordinators at other schools)
This is a permanent, full-time position (with a teaching load) to start 01 Jan ****.

To be successful, you will have:
QCT Registration (or eligibility) and demonstrated Teaching experience
Ability to lead Middle School students and teaching staff
Knowledge of contemporary pedagogical practices and assessment strategies appropriate to secondary schooling
Familiarity with the QCAA syllabuses and experience in curriculum development (in line with the Australian National Curriculum)
Highly developed interpersonal skills, including the ability to work proactively within a collaborative teaching team
An active Christian faith.
In addition, you will have a commitment to the aims of an Independent Christian School, quality customer service skills when interacting with parents and the wider community and the ability to develop, write and edit quality reports.
