We are seeking an accomplishedHead of Procurement and Commercial Servicesto join our senior operations team in Brisbane.
Reporting to the EGM - Operations, this pivotal role will provide strategic leadership across procurement, commercial management, estimating, tendering and risk functions.
You will play a key role in driving sustainable business growth, strengthening commercial capability and ensuring robust governance throughout the pre-contract and commercial lifecycle.
This is an prospect for an experienced commercial leader to influence organisational strategy, optimise value creation and support the continued growth of a successful Australian-owned business.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
Lead and develop high-performing procurement, commercial, estimating and tendering teams.
Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement.
Strengthen organisational capability through effective leadership,



coaching and professional development.
Drive operational efficiency and contribute to broader business improvement initiatives.
Commercial Governance, Risk and Compliance
Establish and maintain effective commercial governance frameworks, policies and processes.
Manage commercial, contractual, procurement and public liability risk frameworks.
Ensure procurement and commercial activities comply with organisational policies, WHS obligations and legislative requirements.
Provide executive-level reporting, risk insights and recommendations to support informed decision-making.
Tendering, Estimating and Business Growth
Lead major tender submissions, proposals and commercial opportunities.
Develop robust estimating processes to support competitive and profitable business outcomes.
Improve bid strategies, market opportunities and contract growth initiatives.
Ensure commercial and risk reviews are completed for significant tenders.
Maintain strong governance over contractual obligations, service levels and key performance requirements.
Procurement Excellence
Develop and implement procurement strategies that maximise value, efficiency and supplier performance.
Enhance procurement systems, processes and reporting capabilities.
Ensure appropriate commercial evaluation, negotiation and contract management practices are applied.
About You




You are an experienced commercial executive with a strong background leading procurement, tendering and commercial functions within complex operational environments.
You will bring:
8–10+ years' experience in senior commercial, procurement or pre-contract leadership roles.
Experience managing significant commercial portfolios, preferably within facilities services, security, technology, asset management or related industries.
Proven success leading major tenders, contracts and procurement programs.
Strong financial acumen, including budget management and P&L; responsibility.
Demonstrated capability in commercial strategy, contract negotiation and risk management.
Strong understanding of WHS, compliance and regulatory obligations.
Exceptional stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
Qualifications
Essential:
Tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, Accounting, Economics, Law or a related discipline.
Desirable:
MBA or postgraduate leadership qualification.
Relevant professional certifications in procurement, commercial management or contract administration.
