Job Description

The Bradford Hotel has been a favourite amongst Rutherford residents since it was first established in 2007. The fantastic service and cosy nature of the hotel help create a unique and welcoming atmosphere. We are looking for a qualified chef to join our kitchen team.

Working closely with the Head Chef, you will:
Set up the kitchen with cooking utensils and equipment, like knives, pans and kitchen scales
Study each recipe and gather all necessary ingredients
Cook food in a timely manner
Delegate tasks to kitchen staff
Inform wait staff about daily specials
Ensure appealing plate presentation
Supervise cooks and assist as needed
Slightly modify recipes to meet customers’ needs and requests (e.g. reduce salt, remove dairy)
Monitor food stock and place orders




Check freshness of food and discard out-of-date items
Experiment with recipes and suggest recent ingredients
Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area

About you
Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role
Experience working in a busy kitchen team
Collaborative approach
A keen eye for the detail
Excellent communicator
Excellent time management
Innovate and flexible

What we offer

This role is integral for our venue and has the potential to lead to further career growth with one of NSW’s most energetic regional hospitality groups. We offer a market-competitive salary package of $77,500 to 82,500 (plus superannuation).
