Here's what you'll be up to...
We have a temporary opportunity until November **** for a suitable candidate to join our team. Are you passionate about creating unforgettable experiences that bring communities together? As our Senior Event Producer, you'll play a leading role in the development, delivery and evolution of Penrith's major and community events program, including our flagship Real Festival. This is an exciting opportunity to combine strategic thinking, creative programming and hands‐on event delivery to make a meaningful impact on one of Australia's fastest-growing regions.
This role has the opportunity to lead and shape one of Western Sydney's most innovative and award‐winning festival programs and will provide professional development opportunities and a supportive, collaborative team environment
In this role, you will:
Lead the development, programming, production and delivery of major community events and festivals, including Real Festival.
Manage event planning, logistics, procurement processes, supplier contracts, budgets and event evaluation.
Collaborate with internal teams, artists, contractors, sponsors, community groups and government stakeholders to deliver exceptional event outcomes.
Contribute to the implementation of key strategic priorities identified in the Real Festival 10 Year Plan, Penrith Events Strategy and other Council initiatives.
Support community engagement activities and use feedback to continuously improve the City's event offering.

What are we looking for?
We're looking for an experienced event professional who is ready to take on their next challenge and make a lasting impact on Penrith's events landscape. You will bring:
Demonstrated experience planning, delivering and evaluating large-scale events, festivals or public programs.
Strong stakeholder engagement, project management and communication skills, with the ability to build productive partnerships.
Proven experience managing budgets, procurement processes and supplier contracts in an event environment.
A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with the ability to juggle competing priorities and deliver exceptional outcomes.
We're particularly interested in people who are motivated by creating meaningful community experiences, enjoy working collaboratively and are excited about making a visible impact across our City.
The must-know bits
You will be required to undertake employment checks, which may include a Criminal History Check, Qualification Check, Working with Children Check, Medical Declaration and/or a Functional Test, as relevant to the position for which you have applied.
Where a Criminal History Check is required and has returned a result that indicates disclosable court outcomes, you will be required to provide a copy of the report to Penrith City Council for review to progress through the recruitment process.
